When will I receive the code for the vehicle key?
The key code will be sent by e-mail a few hours before the start of the rental period.
What should I do if I have booked the van for a certain time but cannot return it on time?
The booking can be extended by a maximum of 10 minutes.
I would like to change or cancel a reservation. How do I proceed?
You can only make changes or cancel through us. You can change or cancel your reservation up to 48 hours before the start of the rental period by phone, WhatsApp, SMS or e-mail without incurring any rental costs. If you cancel 48 hours or more before the start of the rental period, you must pay the full rental costs.
Can I return the van earlier?
Yes, the rental can be terminated at any time before the planned end of the reservation. Please note that you will still be charged for the full reserved rental period.
Are the kilometers free?
Yes, within Switzerland. For journeys abroad, you must contact us by telephone.
What should I do in the event of a breakdown?
In the event of a minor breakdown, you can call the TCS (0800 808 114) directly yourself and inform Lolrent by telephone. In the event of an accident, the police must be informed, a police report drawn up and Lolrent informed by telephone.
What if I don't speak German well or need help with registration?
You are welcome to call us daily from 8:00 to 22:00. We speak the following languages fluently:

The vehicle shows before the journey that it is not fully fueled - what should I do?
Please drive to the nearest petrol station immediately and check whether this is actually the case. Take a video and, if it is correct, send it to us via WhatsApp. Complaints that are not made before the journey can unfortunately not be considered.
Are tensioning sets and rein covers available?
Yes, we provide tensioning sets in the carriage. However, we do not have bridle covers.
Insurance: How am I insured when I rent a vehicle?
The following rules apply with regard to deductibles:
- Deductible for partial casco insurance per claim: CHF 0.
- Deductible fully comprehensive insurance per claim: CHF 1’000.
The renter is liable for all damage to the vehicle that occurs during the rental period, insofar as it is not covered by insurance.
Where is the key box located and how can it be opened?
The key box is located on the rear door of the vehicle. You can open the box with the code.
Can I extend my reservation?
Yes, two days in advance (48 hours) if the car has not yet been booked.
Is 6 hours enough for a move?
We offer a 6-hour option for customers who require journeys within a canton or a fast journey. However, please note that this option is usually not sufficient for removals. We recommend scheduling 12 or 24 hours for removals.
Can I park my vehicle with you?
Yes, park your own vehicle free of charge in the same parking lot by driving the rented van away first.
Is there a discount for companies, clubs and organizations?
Yes, we are happy to grant a good discount for longer rental periods.
Can I smoke in the van?
No, smoking is not permitted in the Lolrent vans.
Can my colleague drive the van even though I have reserved it?
Yes, the rental vehicle may be driven both by the renter and by additional drivers. The renter remains responsible to the rental company for the fulfillment of all obligations arising from the rental contract and the associated additional conditions, even if he does not drive the rental vehicle himself. No fee is charged for the additional driver.
When and where should I fill up with fuel?
The tank should be full again at the end of the journey. Please refuel near the location of the vehicle. If you do not refuel, a fee of CHF 150 will be charged.
The car is damaged, not clean, the windows are open or the lights are on even though it is closed - what should I do?
Please take a photo or video recording immediately and send it to us.
The car is not in the parking lot at the booked time - what should I do?
Please contact us immediately by telephone.
How do I pay?
Payment can be made in advance by credit card or Twint (VISA, Mastercard).
